Run a clearer workshop without a monthly cloud plan

ShopFloor Job & Material Tracker helps a small workshop see what is on hand, what is already reserved for active jobs, and what each completed job actually consumed. The application stores its database on the Windows computer and does not send workshop records to an online service.

Included features

• Material inventory with quantity, unit, SKU, unit cost, and low-stock threshold.

• Customer jobs with due date, quote, planned labor, and notes.

• Reservations for one or more materials; the app blocks reservations above available stock.

• Actual material use and labor-hour entry.

• Completing a job deducts actual use and releases unused reservations in one database transaction.

• Estimated job cost, dashboard, and CSV export.

• English and Romanian interface labels (English first, Romanian in parentheses).

• Local SQLite database, complete Python source, and artwork.

System requirements: Windows 10 or 11 and Python 3.11 or newer. Internet access is needed once to install the included open-source dependencies. After setup, the app runs locally. Double-click run.bat. This release is the Python source version and does not include a standalone Windows executable.

Scope: this is a lightweight production tracking tool. It does not issue invoices, manage taxes, synchronize multiple users, connect to CNC machines, or provide cloud backups. Review actual usage and hours before completing a job. Keep a separate backup of the SQLite database.
